How has it been half a year?!

The first half of this year has been a whirlwind.

We've had birthdays, Easter, Zoo trips, picnics at the beach, Olive is out of nappies, Arthur is crawling and being a menace, almost taking his first steps. My work is keeping me extremely busy and I have achieved more in the last few months than I thought was possible. I am also involved with a couple of new ventures in the crypto gaming space.

I've let the blog slide and havent been posting or keeping it updated. Which is a shame because I really enjoy writing these and reading them back. This blog is my online journal.

So here's my attempt to do a wrap up of some of the highlights for the first half of this year.

The year started strong with Australia day, Valentines day, my bday, mother in-laws bday and then Pais and Sophs bday and we're only up to the first week in March.

Arthur had his first Easter and it was loads of fun. All of the grandkids got together and completely went choco-crazy. It was loads of family fun.

In May Olive started potty training properly. We've left a potty out for her to get used to for ages but she finally decided she was ready and a few accidents later and she's now not wearing nappies at all. She's even sleeping through the night without wetting herself. So proud of our little girl. She's also started going to nursery a bit more and we're going to slowly increase it before she goes to school.

We still go on our regular trips to the zoo, Olive's favourite. She loves animals and tells us she wants to be a "doctor for animals" when she's older. We try telling her that an animal doctor is a called a "vet"... but noshe's adamant that she doesn't want to be a vet, she wants to be a "doctor for animals".

We celebrated the queen's jubilee with 2 Garden parties (any excuse) and our family from America came over to join in the celebrations. We had even more family fun. Then just recently we celebrated Arthur's 1st birthday. It was a brilliant day and we appreciate everyone who came. We couldn't be happier to see him enjoy himself but also to see how much he's loved by friends and family.

I can't believe how quickly this year is going and as the saying goes, the days are long but the years go quickly. I always try to enjoy every moment and live life to the fullest and sometimes this means I'm always looking forward to the next thing. Sometimes I need to learn to slowdown. That's why I enjoy writing this blog it helps me reflect and appreciate how grateful I am.

I'll try not to wait 6 months for another post.
